Air Entrainment

Air Entrainment

Are you pouring concrete in an area that’s prone to extreme frost conditions or severe freeze/thaw processes? If so, you might be interested in air-entrained concrete, which increases the concrete’s ability to resist freezing and thawing. Adding entrained air pockets into the material can reduce the frequency and severity of cracking and splitting, producing a more durable concrete structure.

When you add air entrainment admixtures to your concrete, you will need to conduct a concrete air test and volumetric air test. That’s why Forney offers a variety of products to help you perform concrete volumetric air tests. For instance, we offer concrete air meters, pumps, and many accessories to help you determine how much air concrete has in it.

If you perform concrete air tests regularly, you might be interested in our CAPE pressurized air tank for the Super Air Meter (SAM). This tank helps you pressurize the concrete air meter more quickly, using three attached regulators. As a result, you will need less effort to bring the SAM to the proper pressure levels.

We also offer the Forney Press-Aire Meter device, which takes measurements of entrained air by applying pressure to the concrete and tracking the change in volume. Our lightweight roller meter is another popular item for conducting concrete air tests. It can determine the amount of entrained air in fresh mix concrete, fly ash, and other lightweight aggregates.

If you simply need parts to repair your existing concrete air meter, we have a wide variety of accessories and spare parts. From carrying cases to cleaning brushes, from syringes to pumps, from valve assemblies to clamp rings, Forney has what you need to conduct a concrete air test and volumetric air test on any job.
